The CIC36 form is the foundation document of the Community Interest Company. It spells out the beneficiaries of the activities we do.
The other foundation document is the Articles of association, and this is where our objects (what we are founded to do) are specified.
The objects of the Company are to carry on activities which benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) to:
- Repair household items such as clothing, furniture and electrical goods
- Sell donated, repaired, upcycled and recycled items
- Host workshops in repair, arts, craft and related skills
- Educate and campaign, including video making and social media activity, for the right to repair and for related causes
- Provide training, education and apprenticeship opportunities in repair related fields
- Curate a series of volunteer groups for the purposes of repairing items, craft projects and skill sharing.
Our insurance certificate is on display in the workshop and here.
